Fire Ecology is the international scientific journal supported by the Association for Fire Ecology. Fire Ecology publishes peer-reviewed articles on all ecological and management aspects relating to wildland fire. We welcome submissions on topics that include a broad range of research on the ecological relationships of fire to its environment, including, but not limited to:Physical and biological fire effectsDrivers of fire effects and fire regimesClimate change impacts to fire regimes and effectsFuel characteristics, dynamics, and sampling techniquesEffects of fire exclusionAbiotic and/or biotic interactions with fireLinkages with fire behavior and effectsSocial and policy issues relating to fire ecology and/or fire managementModelling and technology transfer products related to fire ecology and/or fire managementThe journal publishes several types of peer reviewed articles, from original research papers and short communications to opinion pieces and book reviews, as well as occasional reprints of “classic” fire ecology articles.
