Asian Herpetological Research (AHR), an international English language journal, is published quarterly by the Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CIB), and the Science Press of China, cooperated with the Asiatic Herpetological Research Society (AHRS), with its registered numbers：CN 51-1735/Q and ISSN 2095-0357. The scope of the journal includes all contemporary herpetological research areas including taxonomy, fauna, morphology, phylogeny, systematics, evolution, zoogeography, physiology, ecology, toxicology and conservation biology of amphibians and reptiles. 　　AHR aims to provide a forum for herpetologists and related scientists interested in conducting international academic exchanges and joint studies, and a platform for introducing their newly made scientific and technological data, and publishing their research results and achievements in the world, but focusing on the Asian-Pacific Region. 　　 The principal criteria of AHR for acceptance of articles for publication are the quality and significance of the research, breadth of interest of the work to the readership, and the clarity and effectiveness of communication. AHR welcomes submission of manuscripts from authors in all countries of the world, though with a focus on the herpetological studies in the Asian and Pacific Region, including major articles, shorter communications and review articles.

《亞洲爬蟲學(xué)研究》(AHR)是由中國科學(xué)院成都生物研究所、中國科學(xué)出版社聯(lián)合亞洲爬蟲學(xué)研究會(huì)(AHRS)出版的國際英文期刊，每季一期，注冊(cè)號(hào)CN 51-1735/Q, ISSN 2095-0357。該雜志的范圍包括所有當(dāng)代的爬蟲學(xué)研究領(lǐng)域，包括分類學(xué)、動(dòng)物學(xué)、形態(tài)學(xué)、系統(tǒng)學(xué)、系統(tǒng)學(xué)、進(jìn)化論、動(dòng)物地理學(xué)、生理學(xué)、生態(tài)學(xué)、毒理學(xué)和兩棲和爬行動(dòng)物的保護(hù)生物學(xué)。AHR旨在為有志于開展國際學(xué)術(shù)交流和聯(lián)合研究的爬蟲學(xué)家和相關(guān)科學(xué)家提供一個(gè)論壇，并為他們提供一個(gè)平臺(tái)，向世界介紹他們最新的科學(xué)技術(shù)數(shù)據(jù)，發(fā)布他們的研究成果和成果，但重點(diǎn)放在亞太地區(qū)。AHR接受發(fā)表文章的主要標(biāo)準(zhǔn)是研究的質(zhì)量和意義、作品對(duì)讀者興趣的廣度、溝通的清晰性和有效性。AHR歡迎世界所有國家的作者提交手稿，但重點(diǎn)是亞洲和太平洋地區(qū)的爬蟲學(xué)研究，包括主要文章、較短的通信和評(píng)論文章。
