Microprocessors and Microsystems: Embedded Hardware Design (MICPRO) is a journal covering all design and architectural aspects related to embedded systems hardware. This includes different embedded system hardware platforms ranging from custom hardware via reconfigurable systems and application specific processors to general purpose embedded processors. Special emphasis is put on novel complex embedded architectures, such as systems on chip (SoC), systems on a programmable/reconfigurable chip (SoPC) and multi-processor systems on a chip (MPSoC), as well as, their memory and communication methods and structures, such as network-on-chip (NoC).Design automation of such systems including methodologies, techniques, flows and tools for their design, as well as, novel designs of hardware components fall within the scope of this journal. Novel cyber-physical applications that use embedded systems are also central in this journal. While software is not in the main focus of this journal, methods of hardware/software co-design, as well as, application restructuring and mapping to embedded hardware platforms, that consider interplay between software and hardware components with emphasis on hardware, are also in the journal scope.

微處理器和微系統(tǒng)：嵌入式硬件設(shè)計(jì)（MICPro）是一本涵蓋與嵌入式系統(tǒng)硬件相關(guān)的所有設(shè)計(jì)和體系結(jié)構(gòu)方面的雜志。這包括不同的嵌入式系統(tǒng)硬件平臺，從定制硬件到可重新配置的系統(tǒng)和特定于應(yīng)用程序的處理器，再到通用嵌入式處理器。重點(diǎn)介紹了新型復(fù)雜的嵌入式體系結(jié)構(gòu)，如片上系統(tǒng)（SOC）、可編程/可重構(gòu)芯片系統(tǒng)（SOPC）和片上多處理器系統(tǒng)（MPSOC），以及它們的存儲和通信方法和結(jié)構(gòu)，如片上網(wǎng)絡(luò)（NOC）。這些系統(tǒng)的設(shè)計(jì)自動(dòng)化，包括設(shè)計(jì)方法、技術(shù)、流程和工具，以及硬件組件的新設(shè)計(jì)，都屬于本雜志的范圍。使用嵌入式系統(tǒng)的新型網(wǎng)絡(luò)物理應(yīng)用也是本雜志的中心。雖然本雜志的主要關(guān)注點(diǎn)不是軟件，但是考慮到軟件和硬件組件之間的相互作用（重點(diǎn)是硬件）的硬件/軟件協(xié)同設(shè)計(jì)方法以及應(yīng)用程序重組和到嵌入式硬件平臺的映射也在本雜志的范圍內(nèi)。
