Agribusiness: An International Journal seeks to provide a single forum for the development of specialized research that improves our understanding of how food systems work how they are evolving and how public and/or private actions affect the performance of the global agro-industrial complex. Agribusiness covers input industries for agricultural production post-farmgate industries including the commodity processing food manufacturing and food distribution industries and third party firms that facilitate agribusiness operations including bankers brokers advertising agencies and market information firms. The journal focuses on the application of economic analysis to the organization and performance of firms and markets in industrial food systems. International cross-country comparative and within-country studies are welcome. The research scope includes applied methods applied theory quantitative and case studies. Subject matter areas include supply and demand analysis industrial organization analysis price and trade analysis marketing studies and public policy analysis. The journal's Form section will publish position papers policy studies and legal economic analyses that facilitate discussion and understanding of agribusiness issues.
